Cloud Project Lab

Build it, break it, fix it, hand it over. Simply2Cloud has an affiliation with Agenticures and Vialynx, and the Project Lab is how learners move from course projects to supervised work on real projects.

Work from India, online · Places go to learners who prove they are ready · No promised job, internship, US travel or visa

Three stages

Know which stage you are in.

01 · Every learner

Course project

Each course ends with a working system on your own cloud account, reviewed by your trainer. It is a learning exercise with practice data, and it is yours to show.

02 · Selected learners

Real brief, with a mentor

When a suitable project is available, selected learners join a small cohort on a real internal brief from our affiliated companies, with code review and a clear definition of done.

03 · Separate offer

Assignment on written terms

A paid or unpaid assignment, or an internship, needs a separate written offer stating scope, supervision, hours, duration and compensation before any work starts.

Practice briefs

The kind of work you practise on

Illustrative learning briefs. They are not vacancies, and not examples of completed client work.

01 · AWS

Keep a business website up when a server fails

Run a small company's website across two availability zones with a load balancer, a private database, alarms and a budget.

  • The site stays up when one instance is stopped.
  • No database or server reachable from the internet except through the load balancer.
  • Alarms that fire, and a cost estimate you can defend.

02 · AZURE

Give a small office a secure cloud setup

Set up staff identities, access roles, a segmented network, backed-up servers and alerts for an office that runs on Microsoft 365.

  • An access matrix with least privilege.
  • A tested restore from backup.
  • Network rules documented and verified.

03 · LINUX

Harden a server and write the runbook

Take a Red Hat Enterprise Linux server running a web service and make it safe and maintainable for the next engineer.

  • SSH keys only, firewalld and SELinux enforcing.
  • A service that recovers on its own after a crash.
  • A runbook another learner can follow without help.

04 · AI ON THE CLOUD

An AI assistant that shows its sources

Deploy an API that answers from a supplied document set, cites the source, refuses when unsure and waits for human approval before sending.

  • Answers tied to the supplied documents.
  • Tests for unsupported questions and untrusted instructions.
  • Authentication, logs and a cost limit in place.

How selection works

  1. Finish a course project. Show it running and explain your design.
  2. Complete a practical task. A short, timed exercise close to the real brief.
  3. Talk through feedback. How you respond to a review matters as much as the code.
  4. Wait for the right brief. A place opens only when a real project and a mentor are both free.

Working habits we expect

  • Practice data only, unless access to real systems is explicitly approved.
  • No passwords or keys in code, chat or screenshots.
  • Small changes, reviewed before they go live, with a way to roll back.
  • Honest portfolios: show your own contribution, and ask before publishing client material.
